Each vehicle upon entry and weighed on a scale.

After unloading, the vehicle is weighed again.

Fees are based on disposed tons x ton rate.

Example:

Incoming weight = 6,000 lbs.

Outgoing weight = 5,500 lbs.

Disposed weight = 500 lbs.

1 TON = 2000 LBS

500 lbs. x $37.00 ...... $9.25

ENVIRONMENTAL FEES

All landfill facilities must be permitted & comply with Federal, State, Local environmental rules and regulations while in operation.

After a landfill has permanently closed, other environmental rules and regulations take effect, requiring monitoring and maintenance of the facility for 30 years.

Environmental fees support cost associated with active and closed requirements such as:

• Develop, excavate, & construct lined "cells" where waste is ultimately disposed into
• Monitoring & testing ground water quality (water under the landfill)
• Monitoring & testing leachate production (water passing thru buried waste in the landfill)
• Monitoring & testing methane production (Gas produced from decomposing organic waste)
• Providing a plan & implementation of the 30-year post closure process.

• MEDICAL WASTE
• CHEMICALS
• SPECIAL WASTE
• PAINT, OILS, FUEL
• ANY TANK CYLINDER, FILLED OR EMPTY
• BURNT TRASH. ASHES
• DEAD ANIMALS, MEAT INCLUDING HUNTING WASTE
• T.V.s', MONITORS OR OTHER ELECTRONIC ITEMS
• BATTERIES OF ANY SIZE
• MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE (MSW) SUCH AS GARBAGE, HOUSE TRASH, PARTY TRASH, FOOD WASTE
